University of Jyväskylä partners with SemiQon to push forward research on silicon-based quantum computing and expand Finland’s national research infrastructure for quantum.

The consortium brings together five partners from three European countries, and it will be led by the University of Jyväskylä. SemiQon joins the project as the only private company.

SDT and SemiQon sign a Memorandum of Understanding and begin construction of a modular system for quantum computing to reduce production costs and enable scalability. “Through cooperation with SemiQon, we will expand our manufacturing powerhouse DNA into the quantum computing field,” SDT comments.
