Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to lead and coordinate our project portfolio from EU-funded projects to customer-driven projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments across research and commercial domains. Technology experience in microsystems, quantum technologies or similar is an important asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of jointly funded projects (e.g. EU and Business Finland), ensuring compliance with funding requirements and reporting obligations
  • Define project objectives, scope, and timelines; monitor progress and ensure timely delivery within budget
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and present progress reports to internal leadership and external partners

Qualifications

  • M. Sc. degree or higher
  • Proven experience as a Project Coordinator in research, technology, or related fields
  • Familiarity with EU project frameworks (e.g., Horizon Europe) and reporting standards
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Monday, etc.)
  • Understanding technology (e.g. prior hands-on experience from microsystems, quantum tech, cryogenics, solid-state physics or similar)
