Role overview
As a Laboratory/Hardware Engineer at SemiQon, you will be a crucial part of our mission to redefine the capabilities of quantum computing. You will work closely with our hardware experts and collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, engineers, and specialists to develop and optimize software solutions that complement our state-of-the-art quantum processors.
Key Responsibilities
- Laboratory infrastructure and facility: You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the measurement infrastructure. You will be facilitating advanced measurements and setups. You will be the top expert when it comes to understanding measurement conditions and requirements.
- Measurement firmware programming: You will be responsible for low-level access to the measurement equipment and integration of that to the measurement software.
- Collaboration: You will collaborate and enable the work of quantum engineers by providing the electronics expertise and software support required.
Qualifications
Must have
- Good understanding of electronics and measurements instruments: You are expert in measurement tools and methods. You understand electronics at a very deep level.
- Programming proficiency: You can write instrument wrappers and have understanding of object-oriented programming.
Good to have
- Experience from industrial operation
- Expertise from microwave frequency electronics
- Experience in quantum transport measurements
- Previous work related to cryogenic systems and measurements
- Previous work related to low noise transport measurements
*A security clearance vetting may be required for the position.
