Cleanroom Student Intern – Summer 2026

Role overview

As a Cleanroom Student Intern at SemiQon, you will gain hands-on experience in quantum processor fabrication. You’ll work alongside our fabrication team, supporting prototyping and process development in our cleanroom. This internship is designed to provide exposure to advanced silicon-based quantum technologies and cleanroom operations, helping you develop practical skills and industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with prototyping and process development activities under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Support the execution of fabrication steps and help troubleshoot challenges as they arise.
• Participate in documenting process flows and experimental results.
• Help maintain cleanroom processes and ensure high-quality fabrication outcomes.
• Join technical reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions to learn from the team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, physics, electronics, materials science, or a related field.
• Some laboratory or cleanroom experience (through coursework, projects, or previous internships) is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn, proactive attitude, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail, willingness to take responsibility, and good communication skills in English.

*A security clearance vetting may be required for the position.
